How are ID numbers validated?
With the national standard ISO 7064 MOD 11-2 check-digit algorithm for 18-digit numbers, plus a birth-date sanity check.
What information can be extracted?
For valid numbers: date of birth, current age, and gender inferred from the 17th digit (odd = male, even = female).
Is ID data safe here?
Yes. All validation and parsing run locally in your browser — ID numbers are never uploaded to any server.
